“We’re getting married!”

Angela and Alex have both grown up with a belief and understanding that God created a soulmate for everyone in this world. As they grew up, they often wondered who that person would be and when they would appear. As we all know, only God will reveal that person to you. Sometimes it happens in the strangest way, for instance, sitting on a bus to Canada with a complete stranger. Let’s rewind back to 2013, when Angela and her godfather Moises organized a church trip to Canada. They rented a bus that held 56 people, and exactly 56 people showed up for the trip, plus one extra person who was not necessarily expected to there – Alex. When asked Angela stated, “From the moment I met him, I knew there was something about him. I just couldn’t put my finger on it”. That first night in Canada, Angela missed out on her own party to explore that gut feeling. The two sat for hours on the hallway floor talking, joking, laughing, and getting to know each other. The two shared many firsts in Canada and were inseparable by the end of the trip. Angela and Alex had spent 3 days in Canada together and just from those 3 days she knew that there was something special about Alex. Little did Angela know, she was right. The couple continued their journey of love traveling the world, volunteering on mission trips, and just enjoying each other’s company. Angela first told Alex that she loved him during one of these trips, and according to her it was not intentional; it was more like word vomit. She said they were discussing a topic and somehow ended up saying something like, “See, that is exactly why I love you”. Alex just smiled, and said, "I love you too". On Saturday, May 25, 2019, Angela and Alex will exchange vows at St. Edith Stein Parish at 5PM. Their Canadian journey was by chance and since they have created a relationship that was built on commonality, love, laughter, and an instant adoration for one another. God said he would provide and for Angela and Alex, he did just that.
