Corey and Angelina met in January 2014 during their sophomore year at Colgate University in Hamilton, NY. On a cold Hamilton winter night Ang and her friends went to a party at BDS, where Ang and Corey were placed next to each other during a game of "You got Served". They hit it off, and Ang went home with Corey's number. That semester they attended many date parties together, but never made their relationship official. Fast forward to the fall, when Ang and Corey ended up living in the same house (then called PAC House) the first semester of their junior year. After several months of patience from Ang, one night after a PAC House party with all their friends, Corey finally pulled the trigger and asked her to be his girlfriend on October 23, 2014. The rest is history!

On their 5 year anniversary Corey and Ang decided to take a trip up to Colgate, and spend a couple days in Hamilton. They had dinner reservations at the Brewster Inn, a restaurant a few towns over, and the same place where they had celebrated their 1 year anniversary. They spent a relaxing Saturday walking around campus and the town. Ang noticed that Corey seemed a little distracted throughout the day and had a feeling something might be going on, but didn't let on to Corey her suspicion. Prior to dinner that evening, Corey wanted to take a walk down Willow Path. As they were approaching Taylor Lake, Corey said he wanted to go sit by a bench near the lake and take a picture. Meanwhile, Corey had Colgate Scene photographer Andy Daddio stationed across the lake, with his camera aimed at that very bench. Corey did have to adjust his plan slightly because there was a group of students taking pictures in the same spot he planned to propose. He walked Ang over to a spot nearby (all the while hoping that the photographer could still get a good shot). Ang had caught on to what was happening by this point, and when Corey took out the ring to propose, she was so excited. Afterwards, the photographer came over to snap a few more photos of the happy couple, and Ang and Corey went on their way, excited to tell their friends and family (who all also suspected a proposal was happening that weekend), and enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Brewster Inn that evening.
