Ellen and Abby met freshman year at Georgetown when they signed up for the school's spirit club, Hoya Blue. Famously known around campus as Thing 1 and Thing 2 in October of 2011, they'll rock a more refined look on Abby's big day 8 years later. They share a love for all things fitness, corporate gossip, and outdoor adventure. Abby is excited to channel Ellen's zest and can do attitude all wedding week long! Make sure to ask Ellen about her love of wind or how she copes with extreme heat.
Charlie Steinman
Best Man
Justin & Charlie met playing baseball at Georgetown as a pitcher / catcher combo freshman year. From 6AM bullpen sessions in 2009 to golf trips in Monterey in 2020, Justin and Charlie remain close friends. Charlie has always been Justin's "smartest" friend. Charlie has participated in the forging of many memories that will last a lifetime - and Justin looks forward to many more. Make sure to ask Charlie about his high school bowling career, and his high score (it's likely higher than yours).
Whitney Ballato

Whitney is the sister of the groom, and more importantly his very first best friend. Abby and Whitney have grown close over the past 6+ years and Abby can't wait to officially seal the deal and get a forever sister in return! In addition to raising her two wonderful children, Ryan and Emma, Whitney helps a local dog rescue place hundreds of pooches in their forever homes each month. Make sure to ask Whitney about both keeping Justin in line AND protecting him during middle and high school.
Mike Ballato

Mike started out as "sister's boyfriend", but very quickly moved to kick-ass brother-in-law and has become a role model, handy-man, and lifelong friend. Whether it's a recent real estate success or a great beer recommendation, Justin looks forward to spending time with the Ballato gang when he's back in PA. Make sure to ask Mike about potty training - he's got a 3-year-old currently crushing it.
Allie Darrah

Abby and Allie met at Georgetown University through mutual friends (fellow bridesmaids Ellen and McKenzie!). After sharing basement bedrooms in their senior year house, their commiseration over small spaces, shared walls, and scary bugs nailed down their friendship for life. Abby never turns down one of Allie's homemade treats and appreciates Allie's equal love for everything sweet! Make sure to ask Allie about her love for video games and / or cats (or both together?)
Paul Bello

Justin and Paul met in 2009 as freshmen on the baseball team at Georgetown. Over the course of the next 4 years, Paul played a critical role in Justin's success in the classroom. Paul, the more studious of the duo, would teach Justin much of the curriculum the night before the mid-term or final. Outside of the classroom, Justin and Paul have collided in the outfield, made game-saving plays, and seen a handful of run-ins with the outfield fence. Make sure to ask Paul about the time the fence won.
Rachel Gary

Abby and Rachel first met on the crew team and Georgetown, and have remained close friends after both moving to San Francisco. Rachel is lovingly considered the couple's favorite third wheel. Abby appreciates Rachel's similar love for rom coms, Blue Barn salads, ski dates, and workout classes! Make sure to ask Rachel about her favorite skiing mantra to keep you moving down the hill.
Riley Greene

Riley, the bride's younger brother, has always kept Abby on her toes. From trampoline games to family ski days - their relationship has only grown as time has passed (thankfully!). Riley's quick wit and dry humor is sure to keep the crowd laughing on the big day, and Justin is more than excited to gain a little brother. The two will continue to press Abby's buttons in new and exciting ways for years to come. Make sure to ask Riley about the First Law of Thermodynamics.
McKenzie Kaubrys

Abby met McKenzie when she joined Georgetown's spirit club, Hoya Blue, her freshman year. Since then, the two have shared a bedroom (which you should know - was neat as a pin), studied abroad together in Florence, and remained close friends over the years. Abby adores McKenzie's loving spirit, listening ear, their long phone chats, and their shared love of small town, mountain life! Make sure to ask McKenzie about the bow tie she wore for several years in college.
Jay Lynch

Jay, Justin's childhood best friend and close friend to this day, has been there through it all. The two grew up together, wreaked havoc, and made countless memories in and around Exton, PA. Starting out as a pitcher/catcher combo, their love for baseball kept them close, and their interests still align today - their ability to sleep (both separately and together) is impressive. Make sure to ask Jay about his go-to Wawa order (it hasn't changed in 12 years).
Claire Magliola

Abby and Claire met on an alternative spring break trip to New Orlean's during Abby's sophomore year at Georgetown. After building houses together, the two went on to live together after college and become the closest of friends. Not to mention, Claire gets the high honors of both being present and pushing Abby to take a chance on Justin the night the couple met - the best wing woman of all time! Make sure to ask Claire about that time she owned a Red Ford Mustang GT.
Max Maeder

Max and Justin met out on the golf course in San Francisco and have spent hundreds of hours playing/bickering since. As a San Diego native and all-around good timer, Max is particularly fond of Taco Tuesdays at the Greene/Leeson residence. When Max isn't working, eating or playing golf, you can find him at an average to below-average local music performance that he will rave about. Make sure to ask Max about his 2-hour commute on the Techie bus in San Francisco.
Sam Orlan

Abby and Sam met first while working for Capital One, but have since become even greater friends while living in San Francisco. Sam and Abby love a good workout class at Barry's Bootcamp, a juicy gossip sesh, days by the pool during weekend getaways, or a good glass (or five) of wine. Abby can always count on Sam and appreciates her expertise on restaurants, fashion, and movie selections. Make sure to ask Sam about San Francisco's famous SusieCakes and what trending reality docuseries you should watch while indulging.
Danny Poplawski

Danny and Justin were freshman, junior and senior year roommates at Georgetown. Danny probably knows more about Justin than anyone outside of family - and if given a drink or three, he could surely share some hilarious stories of times gone by. Danny and Justin continue to make memories in the Bay Area, playing golf, skiing, and routinely enjoying all that Domino's has to offer. Make sure to ask Danny about his van life & 35 below zero nights.
Caroline Wambach

Abby and Caroline met through mutual friends (yup, you guessed it - fellow bridesmaids Ellen and McKenzie!) while attending Georgetown University. Over the years, Abby and Caroline have become close friends, and Abby is happy to know that she always has an expert doctor a phone call away, the sweetest confidant to lean on, and someone that will always buy into a dinner date at Sweetgreen or Mai Thai! Make sure to ask Caroline for doctor advice on your child's latest symptoms or more importantly, about her opinion on Gatorade flavors.
Alek Toumert

Justin and Alek met while working together at Optimizely. Justin knew he had a great friend when Alek described his Strategy Consulting responsibilities as "making stuff up on the internet". Outside of the office, they have played golf, soccer, and spent countless hours in airports together. Alek's greatest impact on Justin has been welcoming him into Cleveland Browns fandom (Let's go Brownies! Next year is our year.) Make sure to ask Alek about his refined skill and passion for the Irish Goodbye.

Abby's brother, Riley, was Elyse's Mom's (Grace) ring bearer way back when - Abby still remembers how fun it was to be part of their older cousin's big day and she can't wait carry the tradition forward and have Elyse as part of her special day. Not only is Elyse kind and smart, but she also knows how to stomp it out on the ski slopes - a girl after Abby's own heart!

Little miss Maeve is the bride's cousin, Claire's, daughter. Maeve knows how to work a crowd and is always sure to let you know what she's thinking. Maeve's sweet but sassy demeanor is near and dear to Abby's heart and will be a welcomed dose of laugher on the big day.

Jane's mom Audrey (Abby's cousin), was Connie's (MOB) flower girl decades ago. This time, the torch is passed down the line to keep the special tradition going. Be on the lookout for Hurricane Jane's sparkly sass as she struts down the runway (ahem, we mean aisle)!

The bride and groom's niece, Emma, was the sweetest addition to the Ballato / Leeson clan. Her giggles and love for hugs and blowing kisses are sure to make anyone melt. Abby and Justin can't wait to watch her grow and have her (and the rest of her family) be such a big part of their special day.

Ryan was the bride and groom's first (and so far, only!) nephew. Ryan's spirit is contagious - "Uncle DeeDee" and "Aunt Abby" love spending time with him. He has a knack for using tools just like his dad, and will never turn down the opportunity to cannonball into the swimming pool or play on the jungle gym. Abby and Justin can't want to have Ry Guy play a special role on their big day that they'll remember forever.
