Aneca and Julius story began during the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey and a wedding. Hurricane Harvey was just days ago, and many of the roads were still flooded. With success Aneca safely arrived at the airport and landed in Milwaukee to be the Maid of Honor in her best friend's wedding. As the day's festivities came to a close Julius, cousin to the groom and groomsman began to exchange niceties with Aneca to whom which the bride observed from across the room. The bride politely called Aneca's ride home and told her to go on, Julius would take her home. On the ride home they smiled and talked. The night was chillier than the Houston nights Aneca was used to. She asked Julius to take her to McDonald's for a cup of coffee. As they pulled in the drive thru Julius purchased her a cup of coffee and asked, "hey do you watch the show Insecure"? She responded with an excitable YES! They chatted about their favorite Insecure episodes, cracked jokes and laughed the night away. Who would have known this meet cute would bloom into something special. And on an occasional Sunday morning, he surprises her with her favorite, a cup of McDonald's coffee.

It was date night as usual for this charming couple. As tradition stands the location and the nights activities was a surprise. Aneca was always delighted in the choices Julius made for an evening specifically crafted for her. The only hint given, "hey babe what should I wear"? Julius responded with, "do what you always do, be pretty". On this evening they visited a new restaurant and although Julius was a little quiet during dinner there was one thing, they both agreed upon, the food was amazing! Later that evening they listened to music, enjoyed cocktails and relished being in the presence of one another at a trendy urbane lodge. The night was perfect. As they returned home Julius turned on the Bucks game and retreated to the music room as Aneca begin to get ready for bed. She listened to the game from the bathroom as she washed her face, wrapped her hair and put on her Patrick Starr Pj's. Oh snap the Bucks are going into overtime! Aneca ran downstairs to get snacks hoping she would make it back before the commercial break ended. She quickly climbed up the stairs turned the corner to their bedroom, where Julius was on one knee with ring box in hand. "Aneca will you marry me"? She dropped her snacks and held out her hand as Julius placed the ring on her finger. "Yes, babe I'll marry you"! He hugged her and all the evenings awkward nervousness dissipated with one loving sigh. On this night two people decided to spend the rest of their lives together. By the way the Bucks won that night and so did they.
