Second Line Parade

10:30 pm

Immediately following the Reception, join us for a Second Line Parade through the French Quarter! Dance your way through the streets of New Orleans to the music of Knockaz Brass Band! The parade will start at the reception location and make its way to Pat O'Brien's to continue the celebrations. History of the Second Line Wedding parade: One of the most popular traditions during New Orleans weddings is the famous Second Line parade. The wedding second line celebrates the newlyweds as they embark on a new life together. A Brass band leads the bridal party and the guests from the reception venue. All guests (and anyone on the street) who want to join in the celebration, follow behind the band and the newlyweds, dancing and strutting to the lively music with handkerchiefs.
