Our story began in San Francisco, just two days before I was supposed to fly back to Vietnam. I wasn’t expecting much, just enjoying the last bit of my trip, when I met Andy. From the moment we started talking, something clicked. We had our first date at SFMOMA, walking through galleries and sharing stories like we’d known each other for years. By the end of the day, Andy told me he loved me. I thought he was crazy. Sweet, but crazy. I was leaving in less than 48 hours. But something about it felt real. After I got home to Vietnam, we kept talking every day. Despite the distance, despite the time zones, we gave this unexpected connection a real chance. And not long after, I said yes to being his girlfriend from across the world. Long-distance isn’t easy, but we made it ours with video calls, frequent visits, and constant support. Through it all, Andy has always shown up with so much love, patience, and sincerity. Then, in March of this year, during a trip to my favorite city, Paris, Andy got down on one knee and proposed. It was quiet, thoughtful, and perfectly us. We may have started with oceans between us, but now we’re here, writing the next chapter of our story, together.
