thistle farms is a non-profit founded by becca stevens, the chaplain at st. augustine's (our church in nashville and where we're getting married). the organization provides a number of services to women who seek to recover from addiction and/or have been victims of human trafficking. the employees at the café are all part of the thistle farms program. the café is one of the many options that thistle farms offers to provide them with a stable and supportive job so that they can be successful in their recovery. the café is a particular favorite of andrew's mom, sue, who takes us there nearly every time she's in town.
