Arts District - First Friday
The Arts District is a vibrant, urban area, located between the two Strips of Las Vegas. It is a hub for restaurants, breweries, and vintage shops. While this area is always lively, it is especially so on the first Friday of each month (i.e. Oct 6th 2023). This neighborhood hosts a festival with live music and performances, art exhibits, and food trucks.

If you're looking for the Las Vegas entertainment experience, this is an amazing show featuring impressive acrobatics and adult humor.
The Neon Museum
Book a tour to explore all the old Las Vegas signs in this neon graveyard. After sunset, some of the more impressive signs are lit up.

Water Street
Downtown Henderson is becoming a popular stretch among locals and is a short drive from Lake Las Vegas (wedding destination). Stop by Mojave Brewing or Love Lady Brewing for a beer and have food delivered to you from one of the neighboring restaurants.
Valley of Fire State Park
This State Park, located about 1-1.5 hours east of Las Vegas, consists of many trails through beautiful rock formations. We highly recommend taking HWY 167 past Lake Mead Recreational Area, which is the more scenic drive.
Red Rock Canyon
This is another popular hiking/ rock climbing spot located 30 minutes east of Las Vegas. Parking is limited, so you can guarantee entry by booking a reservation on the website.
Mount Charleston
This is the perfect hiking destination when the Las Vegas Valley is too hot. There are many different trails of varying difficulty and the outdoor temperatures can range from 10-20˚F cooler than the Valley.
Boulder City- Hoover Damn - Historic Railroad Hiking Trail
If you are looking at a day trip out of Las Vegas, just 30 minutes south is the Hoover Damn and the quaint town of Boulder City. There is an 8-mile out-and-back trail that takes you past views of Lake Mead and down onto the Hoover Damn itself. We suggest treating yourself to a cold one at Boulder Damn Brewing Company after your hike.
