Our ceremony begins at 4:30. We recommend guests arrive no later than 4:15, so that you have plenty of time to park and find a seat.
Cathedral of the Incarnation is just a half mile from BMA. Guests can either drive, take the shuttle or enjoy the short 10 minute walk.
We are having a cocktail-style reception with heavy hand passed appetizers and small plate stations. As big foodies, we want our guests to enjoy as many bites as possible. We promise you will not leave hungry! Due to the nature of our reception, we will not have assigned seating for everyone. We will have lots of high tops, small tables and lounge areas. If you are unable to stand during parts of the reception, please let us know so that we can make proper accommodations. There will be a coat check, but ladies, please plan your shoes and accessories accordingly!
Yes! We want our guests to experience all that BMA has to offer! You will be able to walk through multiple galleries, including the famous Cone Collection and American Wing Galleries. There will be drop tables outside of each gallery for you to place any food or drinks on prior to entering.
Our wedding is black-tie optional. Men should wear tuxedos, suits or sport coats, and women should wear gowns or cocktail-style dresses. If you choose to walk to the reception or explore the galleries, be sure to wear comfortable shoes! There will be a coat check if you want to store your coats, bags or a change of shoes.
All invited guests will be indicated on your invitation. If you are unsure about your guest count, please ask Maddie or Andy directly.
Yes! We are providing a shuttle for guests from the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront to the ceremony, from the ceremony to the reception and back to the Marriott at the end of the night. If you are taking the shuttle to the ceremony, you can be picked up at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront at 3:15 or 4:00. Shuttles will depart for the reception shortly after the ceremony is over. At the end of the night, shuttle service back to the Marriott will begin at 10:30 and finish at midnight. You do not need to be staying at one of the hotels to take the shuttle. For information on parking downtown and taking the shuttle, please view our Hotels & Travel page.
There is a parking lot located directly at the church. Due to our guest count, the lot could fill up easily, so please allow extra time in case you need to park on the street. There is street parking along St. Paul Street and University Parkway.
