Things To Do

Looking for something to do before wedding festivities? Check out some of our favorite places and restaurants in Charlottesville!
Charlottesville Pedestrian Mall

Charlottesville Pedestrian Mall

The pedestrian mall has lots of small, local shops and fun restaurants. We recommend parking in the Water street parking garage for the easiest parking ($2/hr). Our favorite restaurants on the mall include the Twisted Branch Tea Bazaar, Luce, Now & Zen, and Monsoon Siam.

IX Art Park Farmer's Market

522 2nd St SE, Charlottesville, VA 22902

This is Emma and Andy's go to farmers market. With over 60 local vendors, IX has many delicious food and drink vendors and local artisans. Stop at Brazos in the same complex for some delicious tacos! Runs 8am-12pm.

Water Street City Market

100 Water Street, Charlottesville, VA 22902

This market is about one block from the pedestrian mall. It's easiest to park in the Water Street parking garage then head across the street to the market. It runs from 8am-1pm with over 100 vendors.

Guajiros

114 10th Street NW, Charlottesville, VA 22903

If you're looking for a delicious Cuban-inspired brunch (aka, our favorite brunch in town) we cannot recommend Guajiros enough. If you want to get some caffeine to start your day, Andy recommends their cafe bonbom or cafe con leche. If you are more like Emma and want sweet start to the morning, try their tropical palmer or hibiscus marg (with a mandatory side of queso frito). Vegan and GF friendly.
