Andy and Bridget are a dating app success story. Bridget likes to gloat that Andy was her first and only dating app date—thanks, Hinge! After an electric 4-hour first date at The Summit (still one of their favorite Pittsburgh spots), they filled their summer with more dates, falling in love, and Andy stepping into the role of dog fatherhood for Wilco. On one of their early dates, they discovered they both dreamed of moving somewhere sunny and coastal. Fast forward to December 2023: a trip to Charleston, SC led them to stumble upon the perfect beachside Eagles bar (Go Birds!), and they knew right then that this was the place they wanted to call home. Since moving, they’ve built an incredible community of friends who feel like family, and they’re making the most of beach days and oyster nights. Then, on January 25th, 2025, Andy proposed at Sullivan’s Island—the very same beach where they decided to pack up their lives, leave Pittsburgh behind, and start fresh in the Lowcountry.
