Dating these days is just not the way it use to be. The fast pace of our day-to-day lives lends itself to meet people though a more convenient approach of online dating. Andy and I decided to try this online dating app called Bumble which is where we met. It was 2016 during the holidays when Andy and I "swiped right". Due to the holiday craze, we found ourselves chatting less on the phone and eager to have a first date. We threw out a couple of ideas on where to meet and Andy decided La Gloria at the Pearl Brewery in San Antonio, because Gloria is the name of his mother whom he holds very dear. Little did he know that my mom's name is Gloria as well. We had a few laughs, shared good stories, and before we knew it what seemed like five minutes was now near the end of the date. We decided to continue our conversation at Hotel Emma Bar and it was there that we had our first kiss. The next couple of days went by in a blink. Andy and I enjoyed each other's company so much that the next day Andy joined me to watch the Alamo Bowl at the Alamodome, and two days later we spent New Year's Eve together with all my family. Realizing the pace we were on, we took the next year and 2 months to get to know each other. As time goes by, we find ourselves even more in love with each other now than we did then, and we cannot wait to see what our future holds.
