Jessie and Andy met way back in their first year at Quinnipiac, in 2005. It wouldn't be hard to find an embarrassing picture of the two of them- Jessie's hair was two different colors and she hit the tanning salon pretty regularly; Andy had his eyebrow pierced and his wardrobe consisted mostly of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle t-shirts. Despite all of that, they grew close as friends before Jessie transferred to SUNY Albany after freshmen year was over. It wouldn't be another 9 years until Jessie and Andy- now known collectively as "Jandy" throughout the United States, Panama, Italy, the Galapagos, and France- would meet up at Barcade in Brooklyn, only to get together again and again. Jandy has been on an adventure ever since, whether we're renting some quirky Airbnb in the woods, finding a new favorite food or cocktail spot, or relaxing at home with their furry child Cliff (2021 UPDATE: Cliff has a brother, Baxter!). After three years of dating but knowing each other for over a decade, Jessie said YES to the ring a few hours before midnight on Christmas Eve in 2018. *** A lot has changed since then!! In the midst of all the events of last year, we postponed our GFH wedding and replaced it with a small exchanging of vows, surrounded by our families and in the shade of a willow tree on Randall's Island. After a long year+ of social distancing, zoom hangouts, and way too much Netflix, we're looking forward to celebrating with all our favorite people! "Reception to follow..." has never been more true! One last thing- in order to celebrate safely, NYS law requires that all guests are vaccinated or have a negative result COVID test within 72 hours of our event, so please plan accordingly! :)
