Cancun Shuttle

Uber is not a legal form of transportation to take you between the Cancun Airport and the Hilton Mar Caribe resort. We recommend you prearrange your transportation to and from the Cancun Airport. They have several options for you to choose from including both shared and private transportation. We recommend using Cancun Shuttle. We have used this company in the past and had a positive experience. If you choose this service, after you clear immigration, walk out of the airport and there will be several companies that do airport transfers. To locate Cancun Shuttle, look for the people in orange vests and provide your name and reservation number. They will direct you to your vehicle.

Travel Tax

Quintana Roo, the state Cancun is in, requires all tourists to pay this tax. Once you pay, you will be provided with a QR code. Please save the QR code as before leaving Cancun to return home, you may be required to show it. Note - It will ask for your departure date. This is the day you plan to leave Mexico.

Immigration Forms

Before your trip, you must also fill out this form. You can fill it out in advance and you will get an email after you clear immigration in Mexico. On your trip back to the U.S., they may ask for this.

Bank Cards & Cash

Cash: You should bring some $1 and $5 bills in U.S. dollars to tip the resort staff for room cleanings, poolside service, and service at meals. Also, please prepare a tip for your transportation driver. We suggest the following as a guide. - Room Cleaning: $5/day - Drinks: $1/drink - Meals: $5/person per meal Bank Cards: You will only likely need to use a card for the room. A good practice is to call your banks ahead of time to let them know you plan to travel to Mexico and provide them with the dates. The reason this is needed is so they don't flag your transactions as fraud.

Passports

Please check your passport to ensure that it does not expire 6 months after the wedding day. For example, if you plan to make it to the Welcome Happy Hour on Thursday, December 3rd, your passport should not need renewal or expire before Wednesday, June 3rd, 2027.
