Bobby and Dana met at a barbecue at Bobby's brother and sister-in-law's house. Thanks, Jason and Beth! Dana made a tomato salad for the barbecue and the moment they met, Bobby was eating out of her hand. (If you've had Dana's tomato salad, it will make a lot of sense.) After talking for a few weeks, Bobby and Dana had their first date... dinner at a Mexican restaurant (Bobby's favorite). It was the fastest dinner in the history of the world and only lasted 45 minutes. So Bobby helped Dana put the finishing touches on her halloween costume by shopping at a fabric store after a coffee at Dana's favorite shop. Soon after the first date, Dana got sick and refused to see Bobby. She didn't want him to get sick, too. Bobby left work early on a mission nurse Dana back to health. Bobby got Dana's favorite coffee from the shop they visited on their first date, soup and a big box of tissues. Bobby showed up and surprised Dana. Dana was so shocked and feverish that she took the goods and sent Bobby away. Five minutes later after sitting on the couch, Dana called Bobby to apologize and invite him in, but only after she showered and brushed her teeth. Bobby came back and they talked all night even though Dana insisted that Bobby sit on the other side of the cough. That was the night when Dana knew she was in love.
On the first date, Bobby and Dana discussed their mutual desire to visit the Frank Lloyd Wright House, Fallingwater. In the spring of 2018, Bobby asked Dana to plan a weekend trip to visit Tröegs Brewery in Hershey, PA. Dana planed and planned and the trip was set for June 9, 2018. While sipping on coffee's the morning of the trip, Bobby surprised Dana and told her that he had set up a tour of Fallingwater. Dana was thrilled. Dana and Bobby were early for their scheduled tour of Fallingwater, so Bobby lead Dana through a beautiful wooded area to an overlook of the waterfall and house. Dana was so excited to see Fallingwater that she didn't notice their families hiding behind a boy scout troop. The boy scout leader offered to take a picture there was just enough time for Bobby to drop to one knee and ask Dana the question she had been wanting to hear... "Will you marry me?" Dana screamed, jumped up and down and said, "YES!" There were cheers from all around and champagne bottles were popped. Dana was shocked to discover that both of their families showed up to celebrate their engagement. After champagne, hugs and a lot of pictures the whole family enjoyed a tour of the magnificent Fallingwater. After the tour we celebrated with lunch and more champagne and our families sent the happy couple onto their engagement trip.
