An obvious favorite place of Rebecca’s! The Thursday before the wedding we’d love to meet up with people at EPCOT, but please know there is no expectation that anyone is required to come. If you’d like to join us, or extend your time in Orlando here, tickets can be purchased via the Walt Disney World website. If you have any questions, or need recommendations on things to do, Rebecca is more than happy to help! Feel free to text me for anything you may need, I love helping people navigate through a Disney vacation. I created some guides to help get you started, click the link below.
Part of Disney property, but doesn’t require a ticket to enter! There’s lots of shopping, entertainment, and dining. Rebecca and Andrew frequent here for dinner and a movie. Some of our favorite spots include Salt and Straw Ice Cream, Summer House on the Lake, Polite Pig, Gideon’s Cookies, Jaleo, and Eet. Restaurant reservations are recommended via the My Disney Experience app.
Universal has some of the best roller coasters in Orlando and Rebecca and Andrew love visiting their parks. Their Harry Potter lands are particularly great. Epic Universe is their newest park and is really amazing - if you’re wanting to do just 1 day here we cannot recommend it enough.
The heart of downtown Orlando features Lake Eola park. A great place to walk around, and if you get there early enough, you can rent a paddle boat shaped like a swan - which happens to be the mascot of Orlando. Rebecca and Andrew love spending time here as there’s often events going on on the weekends. Rebecca can also be found here in the early mornings going for a run around the lake.
A great spot within walking distance from the hotel! It’s a food hall made from shipping containers. There’s lots of great food and drink options for everyone.
Orlando is known for having some of the best golf courses in the country, and in February the weather should be great to play outside. The two golf courses in Lake Nona are Eagle Creek and North Shore, but you can find great golf courses anywhere, including Disney’s Palm and Magnolia courses and Orange Lake Golf (home to Arnold Palmer courses).
Orlando is one of the most underrated foodie scenes, so here’s some of the places we’ve come to love over the years: Domu at East End Market Seven Bites Stassio’s Sideward Brewing Tactical Brewing Hawker’s Johnny’s Other Side Gnarley Barley Pho 88 A La Carte In Lake Nona: Park Pizza and Brewing Bosphorus Canvas Chroma
