Like most great millennial love stories, ours began on a dating app…Bumble to be exact. Andrew thought Rebecca was really cute and Rebecca liked that one of Andrew’s prompts was about Jeopardy. She sent him a captivating first message: ‘Hey!’. And we proceeded to have a great conversation about our shared love of Microsoft Excel. Our first date was at a cocktail bar in Orlando where we each ordered one margarita and made them last for six hours of conversation. Both of our roommates had texted to make sure we were alive since the date had gone uncharacteristically long. Due to some preplanned travel, there were about 3 weeks in between our first and second dates, yet somehow we managed to keep the conversation going. With Rebecca’s texting tendencies, this was a miracle, and should’ve been a sign from the beginning. The fact that we were two Jews from Atlanta who didn’t meet until we were both in Orlando, we knew we had something special. However, it wasn’t until a trip to Jacksonville for the annual Georgia/Florida game, followed by a drive up to Atlanta to see the Braves in the World Series that we made our relationship official. In fact, our dating anniversary is the day the Braves won the World Series in 2021! Fast forward to 2025, Andrew spent a month living in New York, which made it very easy to do some ring shopping without Rebecca catching on. The hard part was getting it to the proposal without Rebecca knowing. He was able to secretly fly with the ring from Orlando to LA and then to Italy. Andrew popped the question in Lake Garda with a photographer hiding to capture the whole moment. It was a dream come true for both of us! Now, we cannot wait to celebrate our love with you! After years of traveling, we’re excited to show off Orlando and some of our favorites things with all of our favorite people. Love, Rebecca and Andrew
