The Henry Ford Museum
Our Wedding Venue will be open for guests to explore the night of the wedding, but there are so many great exhibits to check out, it could take more than one night!
Campus Martius Park
We've wandered around Campus Martius Park many times, during all seasons! It's super festive during the winter. Enjoy a walk around the bustling city with all the sparkling decorations and check out restaurants and shops along the way!
Cadillac Square
Just across the street from Campus Martius Park, you'll find Cadillac Square, featuring the Downtown Detroit Winter market. The Downtown Detroit Winter market is filled with pop-up Igloo style shops full of treasures from local shops. After checking out the shops, you can wander into the heated Cadillac Lodge and relax in one of the cozy vignettes while enjoying a hot beverage! Guests can enjoy the board games available throughout the lodge. Michelle happily kicked Andrew's butt at Scrabble in the Cadillac Lodge a few years ago!
Detroit City Distillery
If you're in the mood for a fantastic, hand-crafted cocktail, head down to the Detroit City Distillery. Andrew & Michelle and their friends love this spot, they always have great music, a chill environment, and of course absolutely delicious cocktails!
Avalon Café and Bakery
Andrew and I have enjoyed a meal or a delicious baked good here many a time! The perfect place to stop and warm up with a cup of cofffee, or something a little stronger!
HOUSE OF PURE VIN
One of our favorite places to taste, learn about, and buy wine! We really miss the free wine tastings!
The Royce Detroit
A fantastic spot to enjoy a glass of wine! There is a library wall of wine (complete with rolling Library Ladder), adding to the cozy atmosphere. The staff are super helpful with providing recommendations. This is a lovely place to enjoy a glass of wine, charcuterie board, and conversation with friends, one of our favorites!
Belle Isle
The Island can be accessed via the Bridge at the intersection of Jefferson Ave and East Grand Blvd. Vehicles entering the island require a recreation passport ($12 annual pass for MI residents), but Pedestrians, cyclists, and transit riders do not require recreation passports. the #12 Conant Bus line stops right in front of the Aquarium/Conservatory complex. While you're on Belle Isle, simply enjoy a walk around the island while taking in the views of the Detroit and Windsor Skylines! You can visit the Belle Isle Aquarium, The Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory and more!
