A long time ago, during a freezing mid-Missouri winter, Liz Goodwin and Andrew Beres met in a study room at the University of Missouri. What began as casual conversations about favorite songs soon turned into more study dates, icy walks for pizza in downtown Columbia, and the first chapter of a love story that would span four states and seven unforgettable, growth-filled years. Her spirited, Texas-bred attitude and his quiet Midwestern charm proved that opposites attract, and together, they created countless memories during undergrad. Cheering at baseball games, dancing at sorority formals, watching movies everywhere from drive-ins to Regal Cinemas to on shared Zoom screens during a global pandemic, with plenty of beers and cocktails shared in between. After crossing through the Mizzou columns together one final time, Andrew moved to the desert to earn a master’s in architecture from Arizona State University, while Liz launched her career in food media and public relations. They bounced between Kansas City, Dallas, and Phoenix, collecting many airline miles with every weekend visit. After endless FaceTimes, virtual dinner dates, and too many "I miss you's” to count, the stars finally aligned in Chicago, where they could trade teary airport goodbyes for everyday hellos. And on a crisp spring day, just one month after their lucky seventh anniversary, Andrew got down on one knee to begin their forever. Now, surrounded by love, laughter, and the best support system of family and friends they could ever ask for, Andrew and Liz are ready to begin their greatest adventure yet - becoming husband and wife.
