We love going to the St. Louis Zoo. In fact, it is where Andy proposed to Tessa. In addition to the zoo, there are lots of fun sites in Forest Park. The hotel is located very close to Forest Park in Central West End and makes for a great way to spend a summer day.
Want a bird's-eye-view of the city, but you've already been up in the Arch? Check out this Ferris wheel at Union Station. The view is pretty cool and there are some other things to check out in Union Station as well.
Another free option in Forest Park. SLAM has many different exhibits, including a special exhibit (which does require paid tickets) "Roaring: Art, Fashion, and the Automobile in France, 1918 - 1939."
A one-of-a-kind St. Louis experience! The city museum is great for kids and adults who like to climb and crawl and explore -- and maybe ride a Ferris wheel on a rooftop! I don't recommend this for younger kids, as when they are exploring, they will often be out of sight of adults.
A great place to visit with little kids! There's so much to explore such as a pretend play village, a bubble room, multi-story beanstalk, and more.
Yet another free option in Forest Park. Maybe when you come to "meet me in St. Louie, Louie" you also want to learn about the historic 1904 World's Fair. This museum has an exhibit for that and more! (Because who doesn't want to learn about the invention of the waffle cone and the debut of the Ferris wheel.)
