Flight
The easiest way to reach Mallorca is by flying into Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI). If you're coming from the US, we consider booking long-haul flights to and from Madrid or Barcelona and then buying separate flights to Mallorca. Domestic providers within Spain offer lower cost flights. For those traveling from the tri-state area, United offers direct flights to PMI. Once You Arrive: Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI) is located just 15-20 minutes from the city center. You can take a taxi, shuttle, or rental car from the airport to your accommodations.
Rental Car
Ubers and taxis are accessible throughout the island, so if you’re planning to stay local, you’ll be fine without renting a car. That said, renting a car is a great option if you’re hoping to explore the island. Some of the most beautiful spots are a little spread out. We recommend going with something small since some of the roads can be pretty narrow. FYI: It's recommended to have an International Driving Permit (IDP) while driving in Spain.
