Question

What dates should I book for travel? What dates should I book for travel?

Answer

Since our wedding weekend will have events scheduled Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (June 26, 27, 28), we recommend planning your trip for 3–5 nights. If you’re traveling from the U.S., we suggest arriving by Thursday to give yourself a day to adjust and settle in before the festivities begin!

Question

Are kids invited?Are kids invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding night is adults-only so everyone can relax and enjoy the evening! However, we recognize some of you will be traveling with your kids, so please know they are welcome to attend the welcome party on Friday. Our fabulous wedding planner has also shared a trusted babysitter service in the area, please reach them at munaikids@gmail.com if you would like to arrange their help.

Question

Can I bring a guest?Can I bring a guest?

Answer

If your invitation includes a plus one, it’ll be noted on the invite! If you have any questions about adding a guest please reach out to sheila.andrew.evans@gmail.com

Question

Do I need a rental car?Do I need a rental car?

Answer

While not absolutely necessary, renting a car is recommended if you’d like to explore the island at your own pace, as public transportation can be limited outside of Palma. However, for the wedding events on Friday and Saturday, we will provide transportation, and taxis or Uber are also readily available for all other events. You can download this app: Mallorcab - it is how you book taxis and will work best if you are staying in / near Sóller. You cannot pre-book taxis, this app works similar to Uber (on-demand). FYI: It's recommended to have an International Driving Permit (IDP) while driving in Spain.

Question

I'm not staying at one of the hotels in the travel tab. How should I get to and from the wedding events?I'm not staying at one of the hotels in the travel tab. How should I get to and from the wedding events?

Answer

Not to worry! While our shuttles are limited to the three main hotels, getting around Mallorca is easy. We recommend pre-booking a car service or taxi to get to the festivities stress-free. To help, our wedding planner shared a list of their go-to local transportation companies: Futurtrans: www.futurtrans.net Autocares Comas: www.autocarescomas.com Roig: www.roig.com Rafa Nadal Autocares: www.rafanadalautocares.com (Yes, that's really its name!) Feel free to use these or any other company you prefer. We recommend scheduling your rides ahead of time!

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors? Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding will be entirely outdoors, including the ceremony, cocktails, and dinner. The only indoor part will be the after party!

Question

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear? What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

Answer

Most of the areas have solid ground, but there are a few stone paths here and there, so we recommend skipping the stilettos to avoid any slips or discomfort. Opt for chunkier heels, platforms or wedges instead!

Question

What will the weather be like? What will the weather be like?

Answer

During the day, you can expect gorgeous but warm weather with temps around 84–94°F! The sea will be a comfortable 73°F, perfect for a refreshing swim. It can cool off a bit in the evenings, so we recommend bringing a light jacket or cover-up for those chillier nights 😊

Question

Misc. Mallorca Travel NotesMisc. Mallorca Travel Notes

Answer

Contrary to the U.S., tips are NOT expected for taxis, food service, etc. Most restaurants have an English version of their menu available--ask your server if one is not immediately provided. Look for the "menu del dia" during lunch hours; appetizer, alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage, entree, dessert, and coffee included in a fixed price typically <20 euro. Most hotels are able to book a taxi for you to your destination, but make sure you have a means of returning to your hotel! While there are taxis in the mountain region close to the venue, they are limited, and it is recommended to pre-book at the front desk when needed.
