Since our wedding is on Saturday, June 27, we recommend planning your trip for around 3–5 nights, ideally between Thursday, June 25 and Monday, June 29. If you’re traveling from the U.S., we suggest arriving by Thursday to give yourself a day to adjust and settle in before the festivities begin! We are working on exciting activities for Friday and Sunday, and we’d love for you to be part of the fun!
While not absolutely necessary, renting a car is recommended if you’d like to explore the island at your own pace, as public transportation can be limited outside of Palma. However, for the wedding events, we will provide transportation to Jardines de Alfabia, and taxis or Uber are also readily available for all other events. You can download this app: Mallorcab - it is how you book taxis and will work best if you are staying in / near Sóller. You cannot pre-book taxis, this app works similar to Uber (on-demand). FYI: It's recommended to have an International Driving Permit (IDP) while driving in Spain.
Work in progress...more details to come.
Yes, transportation will be provided to and from the venue! More details to come.
While we love your little ones, our wedding night is an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the night off! However, we recognize that some of you will be traveling with your kids, so please know they are welcome to the welcome party. Our fabulous wedding planner has also provided us a list of trusted babysitters in the area, please reach out if you have questions!
If your invitation includes a plus one, it’ll be noted on the invite! If you have any questions about adding a guest please reach out to sheila.andrew.evans@gmail.com
The wedding will be entirely outdoors, including the ceremony, cocktails, and dinner. The only indoor part will be the after party!
Most of the areas have solid ground, but there are a few stone paths here and there, so we recommend skipping the stilettos to avoid any slips or discomfort. Opt for chunkier heels, platforms or wedges instead!
During the day, you can expect gorgeous but warm weather with temps around 84–94°F! The sea will be a comfortable 73°F, perfect for a refreshing swim. It can cool off a bit in the evenings, so we recommend bringing a light jacket or cover-up for those chillier nights 😊
Contrary to the U.S., tips are NOT expected for taxis, food service, etc. Most restaurants have an English version of their menu available--ask your server if one is not immediately provided. Look for the "menu del dia" during lunch hours; appetizer, alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage, entree, dessert, and coffee included in a fixed price typically <20 euro. Most hotels are able to book a taxi for you to your destination, but make sure you have a means of returning to your hotel! While there are taxis in the mountain region close to the venue, they are limited, and it is recommended to pre-book at the front desk when needed.
