If you’re an American passport holder planning a short vacation (tourist stay of up to 90 days within 180 days) to Italy or most other EU/Schengen countries, as of beginning 2026, the European Union is rolling out a new entry requirement called ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorisation System). U.S. travelers will need to apply online in advance for an ETIAS travel authorization before visiting Italy or other participating European countries. This is not a visa, but it will be required for visa-free travel and is valid for multiple trips over three years or until your passport expires. Our wedding will have a black tie optional dress code. For gentlemen, a suit or tuxedo, and for ladies, floor-length or midi-length dresses. We recommend wedges or block heels as the ceremony and reception will be outdoors. We can't wait to see you dressed up! Please plan with the weather in mind, as both the ceremony and reception are outdoors.
