We met in September of 2023 neither one of us were looking for a relationship at the time. After a few months of talking and going on dates. Andrew asked me to be his girlfriend on December 9th 2023 ( I made him wait a month before telling him yes). Our relationship flourished during my time in nursing school. After graduating in December 2024, I accepted a job in Scottsbluff Nebraska and moved in with Andrew January 2025. Post move in we started talking about our future and taking next steps. In April 2025 Andrew asked my father Shane for my hand in marriage, Andrew proposed on April 14th 2025. Little did we know a few days later we would find out our dog (Bella) had advanced cancer with only days to live. On April 23rd 2025 our world came crashing down with the news of Bella, that night laying in bed I looked at Andrew and said " you are going to think I am crazy but lets get married tomorrow that way Bella can be here". For those that dont know Bella was like a child to us and we knew pre engagement that we wanted her in our wedding. April 24th 2025 was the most beautiful and emotional day we could have imagined, we said " I do" at lake Minatare in Minatare Nebraska with Bella by our side. Although our wedding day and the days to follow were not what we imagined we could not have asked for a better day and were excited to start our journey as newlyweds.
