Seattle-style cocktail attire. If you have no idea what this means, and you only vaguely understand what this entails, here's an example. It will presumably be quite hot (late August - think 80-90s), so light blazers, slacks, button ups, summery dresses, etc. The ceremony will be outside on the grass, so she would leave those sharp heels at home. If you like heels: don't wear stilettos unless you want to help Hajni irrigate the lawn.....
A few family members have graciously offered to provide food. If you'd like to help provide for everyone's tummies, give us a call:)
No. It's an adult-only event. If you have a dog, cat, ferret, of rabbit, we have to unfortunately request that you don't bring them. Madison's dog Kobi is strongly territorial and will bark and moan all day if there is other animals around.
We're unable to accommodate additional guests, so please refer to your invitation for members in your party. We are having the wedding at a small property, so must insist on keeping the guest list compact and intimate. Thank you for your understanding!!
NO actually! Andrew's parents have a very old septic tank/leech field system, and is extremely sensitive. There is no way it will be able to accommodate a crowd of close to 100 people - so we have a portable-potty and an outdoor composting toilet which we would like everyone to use for the wedding! Please help us in keeping the septic system from overflowing and ruining the wedding for everyone!!!!
No. Quite honestly, don't get too close to the edge of the pond, since it is extremely easy to slide in, or fall because the rocks along the edge are lose, and the rubber covering gets extremely slippery from the condensation and slime.
At Andrew's parents place, there is a small Japanese garden and Zen Buddhist temple (Zendo) on the grounds. Please be extremely courteous when you explore that area of the property. Do NOT enter the Zendo, or hit the big wooden mallet gong.... we know it may be oh so tempting. Please feel free to explore the gardens and enjoy the Narnia-esque surroundings. Andrew's mother Hajni, works extremely hard all year round to make this place beautiful!
PLEASE NO EARLY ARRIVALS UNLESS SPECIFIED DIRECTLY WITH US! Please arrive between 5:30-5:50 PM ONLY. Since we will be setting up Andrew's parents property to receive close to 100 people, we would appreciate everyone arriving during this specific window, so we can be properly prepared for you..... IF you are on Bainbridge Island early, and not sure what to do with yourself while you wait.... please check out our recommended things to do on Bainbridge section of this website.
Horse Shoes, Badminton, Corn hall, Frisbee and MORE!!!!! We will have this in the backyard during cocktail hour, and the reception!
