Once upon a time in the digital age, Laila and Andrew’s love story began on a popular dating app called Hinge. Laila, a world traveler with a love for adventure, and Andrew, a self-proclaimed curmudgeon with a witty sense of humor, found themselves swiping right on a fateful day in Arizona. Laila had just moved back to Arizona 2 weeks prior with nothing but her beloved dog and a smile, after spending the past 6 years living in Thailand. Andrew, a Jersey boy, was enjoying his bachelor life post-covid in Scottsdale with his found family and new dog Obi. Their first date was set to be at Goldwater, a cozy brewery in Old Town Scottsdale. But Laila showed up in a romper and no jacket. As she strolled up to the brewery shivering, Andrew thought “oh my god, this girl….” *insert eye-roll* and they instead had their first date at the beer garden next door called Brat Haus (how romantic!) cozied up next to a space heater. On their first date, they bonded over their shared love for travel, good food, and odd sense of humor. As they sipped beer and shared stories, they knew that there was something special between them. Their relationship blossomed quickly as they shared experiences from hiking Tom’s Thumb, a pool party in Las Vegas, Laila’s 30th birthday in Jamaica, to trying out amazing new restaurants together. Soon they became inseparable. Since then, the two have shared numerous memories together across the nation and overseas. As time passed, Laila and Andrew’s love only grew stronger, and they knew that they were meant to be together forever. One Saturday in the summer of 2023, Laila and Andrew drove around town casually checking out open houses. Little did they know, they’d be celebrating the purchase of their new home... not yet built... 45 minutes away from their Scottsdale bubble... in a completely different county... in a neighborhood that did not even exist yet (and still kinda doesn’t) -- an unknown, scary, but thrilling new chapter! On one beautiful August Saturday, the couple took a drive to check out the progress of their new-build home. As they gazed out the window at the view of the Superstition Mountains, Andrew got down on one knee and asked Laila to be his partner in life. Over the next few months, they moved into their brand new house, filled their home with furniture and love, and built their dogs a swimming pool and desert oasis backyard. And now, as they embark on this new chapter together, Laila and Andrew invite you to join them in celebrating their love and commitment to each other. They will exchange vows at a quaint outdoor ceremony, followed by a reception for family and friends to share laughter and tears, enjoy lots of beverages, and dance the night away.
