Scooter up the Lakewalk
One of our favorite summer activities is riding electric scooters along the Lakewalk to Leif Erikson Park to visit the Rose Garden, with a stop at the Portland Malt Shoppe along the way.
190° Coffee And Tea
Start your morning off at our favorite local coffee shop right on West Superior Street! Andrew’s favorite drink here is a caramel latte and Justine’s is a blueberry vanilla latte with oat milk.
Duluth Grill
Our favorite breakfast and lunch spot in the city! All the produce is locally grown and fresh. We always start with a caramel roll. Andrew usually gets the Spicy Bleu-Wich Sandwich with hash browns, while Justine gets the Mexican Omelette with dill-seasoned smashed potatoes. To the Bloody Mary lovers, they were recently voted to have the best bloody’s, too!
Sir Benedicts Tavern on the Lake
A great lunch spot for a variety of sandwiches, plus local beer and cider! Andrew’s favorite is the British Dip, while Justine loves the Chicken Bacon Artichoke.
Bulldog Pizza & Grill
Great pizza, wings, and sandwiches. An order of the Dough Dog appetizer is a must every time we go!
The Other Place Bar & Grill
The perfect spot to catch your favorite sports games and enjoy that true ‘local’ feel. You’ll find us here cheering on the Bulldogs, Wild, and Vikings while enjoying our favorite Loaded Potato Wedges and trying out different wing flavors.
Little Angie's Cantina and Grill
While checking out canal park, cool down at Little Angies for a margarita and unlimited chips and salsa. Andrew’s favorite is a the classic strawberry margarita and Justine’s is a strawberry banana margarita.
Wild State Cider
Whether it’s bingo night, trivia night, or just a hot summer day, this is where you’ll likely find us. With so many rotating flavors to choose from, it can be hard to decide—but don’t worry, they offer flight options! Our go-to drink is the Hazy Pink Pineapple.
Bent Paddle Brewing Co.
Bent Paddle offers a wide variety of beers to choose from—if you can’t decide, try a flight! With indoor and outdoor seating, fun games, and food trucks parked outside, it’s the perfect spot for a great time. Nearby, check out URSA Minor brewery which is another local favorite

A variety of unique flavors of dairy and vegan ice cream, the BEST homemade gluten-free cones, and unlimited samples—what more could you want? Located in both Lincoln Park and Canal Park, check out their website for the rotating flavor options at each location. Andrew’s favorite is Salted Caramel, and Justine’s is Cookie Butter in a waffle cone.

Create your perfect treat by mixing and matching your favorite ice cream and malt flavors, all while taking in the stunning view of Lake Superior. Andrew’s top pick is the chocolate and marshmallow malt, while Justine loves the classic strawberry malt.
