Monique is a mother to an angel baby boy Amari and is married to her husband Landyn, who is the officiant of the wedding. She and Erika have been best friends since high school, where they met freshman year on the first day of drama class. The two have been through everything and anything together and their friendship is held very dear to Erika. 6 years ago Erika got to stand by Monique as she married Landyn and considers their son her nephew. Monique has been the couple's biggest supporter and has been no less than amazing throughout the wedding planning process. Erika is honored to have her as her Matron of Honor.
Dillon Simpson
Best Man
Dillon and I have known since high school which is nearing 20 years. He is happily married to Rachel and just became a dad to their son Easton in September. If I tell a story about my life, Dillon will most likely be in it, either giving me good advice or terrible drunken ideas. He is a good guy who cant win in our NFL fantasy league, but I am glad to call him my best man.
Erica Dama
Bridesmaid
Erica is a mother to two beautiful girls, Willow Faye and Ivy Rose, and married to her husband Tyler. She and Erika met through work where she was Erika's boss for three years and their friendship began when she needed someone to house sit over the summer. Many sleepovers, dog dates, and professional bonding moments later, the two became besties. Erica is very empathetic, crafty, and an amazing baker and Erika is so happy to have her as a bridesmaid!
Chris Jorgensen & Nick Gorrell
Groomsman
These two have been there for me time and time again. I enjoy their company and are the two best buds. One of my favorite memories with these two were hanging out on their roof in lawn chairs drinking and talking about everything and anything. Chris is a car guy and is always down to help you fix your car. If you act like you dont know what you are doing, he will do it for you. When you have these two together, you will always have a good time. Nick is always down to drop everything to go fishing, camping, and anything outdoors.
Makenna Szymkowski
Bridesmaid
Makenna is a mother of a sweet baby boy named Everett and married to her husband John. She met Erika through work and they became instant friends, bonding over their ability to learn quickly and matching high energy. Makenna is a Bingo Queen & working on her golf swing, Taylor Swift lover, and boss lady! Makenna is the ultimate hype woman, support system, and brightens every room she walks into, which is why Erika loves her and is so happy to have her as a bridesmaid!
Dylan Diaz
Groomsman
Dylan is cool, down to earth, but also likes to create chaos in group chats. He has a 4 Runner that seems to always be broken no matter how much money and labor he puts into it. He is happily married to Jess and we all love her. She puts Diaz in his place.
Samantha Donaldson
Bridesmaid
Sam is a cat mom to her sweet son named Pesto and has known Erika since attending college at The University of Arizona. They lived together for two years where they survived chaotic roommates, she introduced Erika to Game of Thrones and the finer things in life. Sam is well-traveled, super intelligent, the best food recommender and the ultimate wing sister (Barbie reference). Erika is happy to call her a best friend and have her apart of her special day!
Cathryn Masters
Mother of the Bride
The woman behind it all! Cathy is a loving mother of two daughters, although she has quietly adopted all of Erika's friends and her three grandpuppies. She has dedicated her life to that of public service with a 20+ year law enforcement career and former military, but she is most dedicated to being a great mother. Erika and Cathy are very close and one could say like mother like daughter. You can find them shopping and buying things just because or having deep philosophical conversations about how Erika came to logical conclusions on her own (because who takes mom's advice the first time). Not only would Erika not be anywhere near the person she is without the mom Cathy has been, but this day would not be possible. Cathy is going to be an amazing mother-in-law and has accepted Andrew from day one (she may even like him more than Erika). Having the honor to walk Andrew down the aisle has been one of the best accomplishments of her life.
Ronald Abellard
Father of the Bride
Ronald Abellard is the proud son of Evelyne and Roland Abellard, and older brother to Stephane. He is an avid pickleball player, Marvel fanatic, and golf lover. The Father of three young Abellard women, Ron is a girl dad for life. Throughout raising Erika, he taught her how to be good at math (questionable today) and volleyball. Even when the sports path led her towards cheerleading over volleyball, he was always there to cheer her on the sidelines. The Abellard genes are strong and the two of them can often be found silently judging strangers, although their face tells it all. Ron and Andrew have become close buddies, often sending funny videos to each other via social media. His grandpuppies love him so much too. Erika is honored to have her father walk her down the aisle on such a special day.
Landyn Lewis
Officiant
Landyn is the husband of Monique (MOH) and father to Amari Tyrell Moon Lewis (Erika's nephew). He is a PGA Director of Player Development at Tucson Golf. Erika has been the third wheel to Landyn and Monique's relationship since high school and the journey since then has brought the three of them closer. Landyn has had a front row seat on Erika's personal journey and since Erika started dating Andrew, a front row seat to our their love story. Not only is Landyn a great example of how to be a loving husband and father, but he is an example of a great person. Erika and Andrew were so excited to ask Landyn to officiate their wedding and for the many more double dates to come. And for Andrew and Landyn, #GOBIRDS.
