What is the attire?

Answer

Semi-Formal. This is an outdoor wedding so please keep in mind the weather may be warm during the day and colder towards the evening. The venue has mostly gravel so stiletto heels are highly discouraged. Flat shoes, chunky heels, or wedges are recommended.

Where is the venue located and is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

The entirety of the event is located on the same property. The address is 12948 Dupont Road, Occidental, CA 95465. There is plenty of parking at the venue, please look for signs directing you to the designated parking area. Please be respectful and only park where indicated.

Where should I stay?

Answer

There are two hotels located in Occidental, about 5 minutes away from the venue. They are the Occidental Lodge and The Inn at Occidental. We also recommend AirBNB's around the area. The nearest town is Sebastopol, about 15-20 minutes from the venue, and Santa Rosa, about 20-30 minutes away from the venue. Additionally, there are no gas stations in the town of Occidental, please keep this in mind.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend planning transportation ahead of time. Due to the location of the venue, it may be difficult to find an uber late at night. We recommend designating a sober driver or pre-scheduling an Uber, Lyft, or taxi for a pickup time. The roads in and out of the venue are windy and may be dark at night as there are no street lights. There may also be limited cell service, so please keep this in mind.

The ceremony starts at 3:30. We kindly ask that guests arrive 1 hour before the ceremony.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes, kids can attend. We love your children, but are intending this to be an adult event and are encouraging all our guests to enjoy a night out without children. If you do wish to bring your kids, they are absolutely welcome; please make sure to include them in your RSVP.
