FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony is at 3:30 and you will need to park and then be shuttled to the ceremony site. Plan to arrive at Lake Logan at 2:45. Also please note that the roads leading there are winding and often take longer than anticipated to drive down.

Question

What precautions will you be taking for covid?

Answer

Our ceremony and reception spaces will both be outdoors. We will be providing masks if you are not able to bring your own. We will also have hand sanitizing stations. We ask that anyone who is able to receive the vaccine prior to our wedding take that opportunity.

Question

Tell me more about the venue!

Answer

We are so excited for you to join us at Camp Henry - a place that is so special to us!! If you would like, you can swim, canoe, kayak, SUP or fish in the lake! Please bring fishing gear & license if you want to fish. There is also a 3.5 mile hiking trail from Sit & Whittle for those who want some exercise! Because this is a summer camp, it is rustic and it is also not close to any stores or restaurants. Waynesville or Canton are the closest towns and they are each about 20 minutes away. So please bring anything you think you might need over the weekend! :)

Question

What are the travel/lodging options?

Answer

There are several options available for your stay. If you would like to stay on site at Lake Logan, there are nicer cabins, rustic cabins that will require you to bring a sleeping bag or linens, and camping. There are airbnb’s in the area as well; most are 20-30 minutes away from Lake Logan. There are also hotels in the Waynesville area that are around 20 minutes away. The roads to Lake Logan are winding so please keep this in mind when deciding where you would like to stay. Cabins at Lake Logan are first come first serve; contact Dorothy (828-244-3824) or Lisa (828-320-7031) to reserve your spot.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by April 10, 2021

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Dressy attire is preferred, although the ceremony is outside in a grassy field near the lake. There will be transportation, but the roads are dirt or gravel. Please wear shoes that are appropriate! Stiletto heels not recommended.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is not parking at the ceremony site, but there will be transportation from the parking area to the ceremony and to the reception. It may take 20-30 minutes for the transportation to get you to the ceremony site so please plan your arrival time accordingly.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones but we want our wedding to be your night off! We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time so you can celebrate with us.

Question

How late will the party go?

Answer

Lake Logan enforces a 10:00pm shutdown due to a local sound ordinance, so that is when we will leave the reception area. There will be spaces to gather after 10pm though!

Question

Message of Love and Inclusion:

Answer

As we celebrate our love and commit to each other, we also commit to creating a safe and inclusive space for all who choose to celebrate with us.
