We met in 2019 in a sculptural welding class at KU. Andrew was in his last year of school studying Illustration, and Brighid was finishing up her 4th year studying Architecture. Andrew made a metal violin as one of his semester projects and played it for that class which Brighid thought was SO cool. She made a metal stegosaurus skeleton, which was eventually the inspiration for her engagement ring. Brighid has a plan to ask Andrew out on a date the last day classes, but before she could, Andrew ran out of there like a bat out of hell. It took some internet sleuthing, but Brighid eventually tracked down his Facebook and shot him a message asking to go on a date, not knowing that Andrew would be out of town the next few weeks at a con in Chicago, but that fist date eventually happened, at a coffee shop called Henry's in Lawrence, KS, where we talked for hours. Our second date was to our favorite spot in Kansas City - The Nelson Atkins.
