Cozumel is an island just off of the coast where you can take a day trip from the resort.
Rio Secreto
Very cool tour! We took this tour to get out of the sun for a day and it was amazing! Guided tour of an underground cave with lunch included. This tour was offered by the resort and included transportation and a lunch of mayan dishes. This tour was one of the few that were not all day as well.
Xel-ha
Theme park with lots of cool activities including zip line, snorkeling, swimming and much more! The resort offers transportation to Xel-ha for a day trip for the whole family.
Playa del Carmen
This is the closest tourist town to the resort, which can by accessed by the beach. It is about a 30-45 min walk just up the beach to the main strip which is full of shops and restaurants. We went during the day and had a great lunch and felt totally safe! The main street is Quinta avenita
