Please arrive at least 20 minutes before the Mass (so no later than 11:40 am) to find parking and find a seat. Once the wedding Mass has begun, no entrance will be granted to guests who are late.
Receiving the Holy Eucharist is a blessing reserved to Catholics who are in a state of grace, who believe that the Eucharist is the Real Presence of Christ - truly Christ's Body and Blood, not a symbol. If you are not a practicing Catholic who has received your first Holy Communion, we will be praying for you as you remain in the pews. Those Catholics who have not been to confession or Mass in a long time, or who are not living according to the teachings of the Church must visit the confessional before receiving the Holy Eucharist. Additionally, the word "Amen" means "I believe". By saying "Amen" before receiving the Holy Eucharist, you are stating before God that you believe the truth He has given us through the teachings of the Holy Catholic Church. Those who are not in complete agreement with Church teaching should not receive Holy Communion. Holy Cross Parish, our church, has confessions every day, after daily Mass at 8:30 am, and we strongly encourage you to receive God's love and mercy in this sacrament of healing.
Our wedding dress code is semi-formal. We also ask that both men and women consider the sacredness of the Mass when selecting clothing for our wedding. Men should wear slacks and a button down shirt or suit. Women can wear a modest, formal dress or a formal shirt with dress pants or a skirt.
Yes, we do! If you would like to get us a gift to celebrate our new life together, you can access our registry via the "Registry" tab at the top of our wedding website. We also have a honeymoon fund for those who would like to forgo selecting a specific gift.
