Two are becoming one

Andrés and Sarah met online on CatholicMatch.com, after Andrés's friend, Beth, encouraged him to make an account. Sarah's former spiritual director, Father Clifton, had also recommended the website to her. Sarah took a leap and sent the first message, thinking that probably nothing would come of it. Andrés responded the next day, and they hit it off! Andrés and Sarah began messaging back and forth, talking about their shared interests and laughing with each other. After a day or two of messaging, Andrés asked Sarah on a spontaneous date over a video call. That day, they went to Lalla Grill in Monterey, CA for their first date. When Andrés rang the doorbell, Sarah's family's three dogs escaped, and the two had to chase them down before leaving! After a perfect first date at the restaurant, Andrés knew he loved her. They planned another date - the Monterey Bay Aquarium, where they loved watching the penguins. He bought the two of them matching penguin keychains, and the rest is history! About a year and a half later, Andrés asked Sarah to marry him at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Phoenix, on Sarah's birthday! They are excited for what the future holds, and cannot wait to celebrate with everyone they love in person!
