Derek is a college roommate of the groom and would relentlessly beat him in FIFA. The two once took a trip to India and got stuck overnight in the Qatar airport on a layover, and Derek got to hear numerous curse-laden rants from the groom about how we should not have taken the cheap connecting flight. These days, they often text Spanish gibberish back and forth and exchange articles that highlight the incompetency of the other’s various favorite sports teams.

Younger sister of the bride. Previous roommate of Andres and Chanell during her gap semester for college, and an excellent D1 Cross Country and Track runner.

Lee (aka Hindo) and Andres (aka Andy) met working for Nielsen where Andy, looking rather eager in his shirt and tie, would deliver homemade cookies around the office. This interested Lee and they quickly discovered a mutual passion for consumer data & analytics...and soccer. Andy and Lee formed a formidable center back pairing that would be the backbone of many soccer teams to come, collecting their fair share of silverware along the way.

Best friend of the bride since freshman year at UCLA. We navigated the streets of Westwood together chatting in the library, leading a student service organization, and discovering Korean BBQ. By chance, we both ended up in the Midwest for graduate school. Evelyn is perfect in every way, except for the fact that she was tricked into going to Ohio State University.
Mark Griffin

Mark met Andres in Chicago where they played soccer together for the renowned Shadwell FC. Mark was struck by Andres' transformation once he crossed that white line; he would marvel as Andres spent the entire game berating his (often hungover) teammates for not exerting enough effort to meet his high standards, quickly earning himself the nickname "Angry Andy".
Katalina Hernandez-Lopez

Similar to Chanell and Andres, Katalina and Chanell met on an app (Bumble BFF) when Chanell was looking for roommates when moving out to Salt Lake City for her fellowship. They became fast friends while hiking with their other roommates Emily and Cala (an Australian Cattle dog). We both created a community of amazing friends and fellow transplants to Utah before both of us moved independently to Boston and continue to grow our group of friends on both sides of the country.
