If you like whiskey, great food, and views then you will love High West. They have tours of the distillery and a tasting room. You can grab food at their restaurant and enjoy the food and drinks on the deck with a view of the mountains. They have a Saloon (restaurant) on Main street, while this location is located ~25 minutes away.
Located right downtown on Main Street, this little French bakery has buttery croissants and amazing brunch. Stop by in the morning when the pastries are fresh and you will not be disappointed.
This is one of Chanell's favorite hikes. If you are spending a few extra days in Utah and want to get in a hike that provides views of the valley as you hike an alpine trail towards the pristine mountain Lake Blanche and are not afraid of a challenge this is THE UTAH hike. This trail will take 4-6 hours depending on your fitness level and comfort with the altitude (6.8mi out and back)
This is an easy hike located 40 mins away from downtown this 3.3 mi out and back trail has a unique waterfall at the end that makes it worth the drive up Big Cottonwood Canyon
This area is right next to the Alta ski shop so there is ample parking. There is a wooden trail you can use to walk around the lake (0.9 mi) with the option to branch off and go on one of the many trailheads that lead to the other surrounding mountain lakes and have good shading with well-marked trails. The views of the mountain lakes at the end make it a perfect place to stop and have lunch Lake Solitude (3.3mi out and back) or Twin Lakes Reservoir and Dog Lake (3.6mi loop)

Chanell imparted her love for Spilled Milk Ice Cream to Andres with every visit. Chanell comes back to Spilled Milk with every visit to Utah. Originally started as a food truck, Spilled Milk has graduated to a brick and mortar store right in the 9th and 9th neighborhood which is a prime area for food exploring the food and shopping in SLC.
This large park in the heart of SLC was the sight of Andres and Chanell's 24-hour Fall Scavenger Hunt and a staple in their SLC running route. The Southeast corner of the park has a lake and mountain view that Andres photographed and now features prominatly in their living room.
