The address is 12882 Lakeview Rd. Bear Lake, MI. We will be getting married on our friend’s lawn overlooking Lake Michigan right down the street from the Erhard’s house.
The Elberta Life Saving Station is located at 1120 Furnace St. Elberta, MI. It is a historic landmark once used by the US Coast Guard in the early 1900's right off of Betsie Bay.
Cocktail attire, but please wear anything that makes you feel festive and comfortable, especially for dancing later on at night! The temperature drops once the sun goes down, so if you plan on celebrating late with us (we hope you will), bring something warm for the way home.
Daytime temperatures range from the upper 60’s to the low 80’s with night time temperatures dropping into the 60’s, sometimes the 50’s. We are hoping for the sunny weather that is typical in August, but there is always the possibility of a few thunderstorms or a rainy day.
Please plan to arrive around 3:30pm for a 4:00pm ceremony to allow time for parking and seating.
Our ceremony will be outdoors on a private residence lawn. If it rains, we will notify our guests to arrive early at the Elberta Life Saving Station for both ceremony and reception. Reception Dinner will be held indoors at the Elberta Life Saving Station.
Yes, there is a paved beach parking lot a short walk from the venue and a smaller parking area on Burnham St. right next to the venue. Parking along Lakeview Rd. is also available. We will have signs directing you to the ceremony.
Yes, there is free parking.
We’ll be serving light appetizers at cocktail hour, an Italian buffet for dinner, and Michigan pie for dessert. We will have some vegetarian and gluten free options, but please reach out to us directly to let us know if you have dietary restrictions. We will do our best to make sure there is something for everyone.
Yes! We will have an open bar with 2 signature cocktails, along with beer and wine.
