Shuttle

A shuttle will run between the Adler Planetarium and The Blackstone Hotel for all wedding guests. The last pickup time from The Blackstone will be at 5:45pm. Space is limited and is on a first come, first serve basis. Please note that there will be no return shuttle after the wedding.

Flight
Chicago O’Hare or Midway International Airports are served by almost all airlines. We recommend that you take a ride share from either airport as the drive to the hotel is approximately 30 to 45 minutes, which should cost roughly $30 to $50 depending on origin. If you have never used Lyft before, please feel free to make use of our new user promo code. From O’Hare Airport: Take I-90/94 S toward Chicago. Take the I-290 W/Eisenhower Expy exit, EXIT 51H-I, toward Congress Pkwy/Chicago Loop/West Suburbs. Merge onto I-290 E/IL-110 E/Eisenhower Expy E via EXIT 51I on the Left toward Congress Pkwy/Chicago Loop. Continue East on Congress Parkway to Michigan Ave. Turn Right on Michigan Ave. Drive 2 blocks South on Michigan Ave to Balbo Ave. Make a Right on Balbo Ave. Our hotel is located at the Northwest corner of Michigan Ave and Balbo Ave. From Midway Airport: Go South on West Airport Drive towards Cicero Avenue. Turn left on South Cicero Avenue for 2 miles. Take I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway) for 7 miles. Use the left two lanes to exit towards North Lake Shore Drive (US-41 N). Continue on Lake Shore Drive for about 1 miles. Use one of the two left lanes to exit onto Columbus Drive. Proceed for about 0.6 miles and turn left onto Balbo Drive. The hotel will be on the right.
Rental Car
Driving is a great a way to get to and from downtown Chicago. There are numerous options for parking both at the wedding and at our hotel. Valet Parking: The hotel offers valet parking to guests staying with them. The rate is $69 per day. Garage: There is no onsite parking garage, but there are numerous parking garages within walking distance of the hotel. We recommend checking SpotHero to identify the cheapest garage. For those that choose to park at the Hilton Chicago (which is across the street), The Blackstone Front Desk can validate parking tickets. The Adler: There will be complimentary parking in the lot adjacent to The Adler. It is an outdoor uncovered lot, so we recommend that you bring something to stay warm on the very short walk to the Adler. Upon getting to Museum Campus, proceed past the Field Museum on McFetridge Drive. Turn left on Solidarity Drive, and head towards The Adler. The parking lot will be immidiatly adgancent to The Adler on the right side.
Train
If traveling by public transportation, take either the Blue line train from O’hare which takes about 45 minutes, or the Orange line from Midway which takes about 25 minutes to downtown Chicago. They run roughly every 7 minutes and cost $5. From the Airport: For those preferring a public transportation option from the airport, the train is an easy way to get the hotel. Proceed to the train stop at each airport. Proceed to the LaSalle (Blue Line) or Roosevelt (Orange Line) stop. The hotel is a few blocks away and an easy walk. From Ogilvie Transportation Center: 500 West Madison Street, Chicago, IL 60661. From union station, the hotel is about 1.5 miles. It is a decent walk through the heart of downtown Chicago or an easy ride via ride share or cab. To get to the hotel by foot, head East on Washington Boulevard for 0.8 miles. Turn right onto Michigan Avenue. The hotel will be on the right in about 0.7 miles. From Union Station: 222 South Canal Street, Chicago, IL 60606. From union station, the hotel is about 1.2 miles. It is a decent walk through the heart of downtown Chicago or an easy ride via ride share or cab. To get to the hotel by foot, head East on Jackson Boulevard for 0.8 miles. Turn right onto Michigan Avenue. The hotel will be on the right in about 0.3 miles.
