Activities
Walk down the streets of Silverton and check out the shops and old architecture. Walk to the eastern part of town and see the Animas River. There’s a wetlands area by the side of the road between Eureka and Silverton that often has moose! Molas Pass + Overlook Hike a portion of the Colorado Trail through Molas Pass or view the pass from above at the overlook just south of Silverton. Andrews Lake Beautiful lake that you can drive to (paved) and enjoy a picnic, fish, or walk around. Little Molas Lake Walk around the lake or enjoy the view from the shores. Million Dollar Highway Drive the road between Silverton and Ouray with incredible views! It’s windy and the portion just outside of Ouray has steep drop offs. Box Canyon, Ouray (in town) A short hike to waterfalls in a slot canyon Cascade Falls, Ouray A short hike to waterfalls right in town. Crystal Lake, 15 minutes outside of Ouray A pretty lake where the Red Mountains are reflected on still days.
