Rich has been one of my closest friends for many decades. We both love our community, love serving others and enjoy a good superhero movie. When I became Mayor of Reed City, I somehow managed to convince Rich to take on the role of City Manager. This opportunity has provided Rich the chance to serve our amazing community and provide opportunities that has enriched Reed City and set the city up for many decades of success. Rich has been my sounding post, health advocate, and logistic partner. I would not be where I am today if I did not have Rich as one of the best men in my life.
Emily
Matron of Honor
Sister to Andrea and her Matron of Honor, Emily is someone who laughs easily with a wry, dry, and subtle commentary. Absolute queen of office supplies and organization, detail-oriented and is still creatively unique. Emily is thoughtful, insightful to the extreme, an excellent listener, a committed mom and wife, and the kind of person who shows up quietly but consistently for the people she loves. Having her beside Andrea on this day feels right in the way only something lifelong can.
Barry
Best Man
Sharing a passion for the outdoors, archery and a love for Christ, Barry is one of my closest friends. Barry has a genuine love for people, love for family, and is driven for success. A devoted husband to Beth, and committed father of 3 amazing children and a cute canine named, Teddy - Barry is a successful business man and outstanding leader. When he is not helping families find their dream home, he is often out in the woods hunting or preparing for the hunting season.
Nicolle
Matron of Honor
Andrea's sister-in-law is one of those people who became family through marriage but, a sister through shared experiences, puzzles, deep discussions, and family dinners! She’s quietly clever, warm and generous, has a great sense of humor, and is the best boating buddy. Nicolle brings calm to chaos, laughs easily, and is the kind of person you want nearby during both big moments and everyday ones. Andrea's so glad she’s standing up with her on this day and even more glad she’s part of the family.
Elijah
Ring Bearer
Absolute ham of the family, Elijah (Eli) is the son of Ted and Nicolle (Matron of Honor). He loves to explore, give hugs, run and jump. Getting up to light mischief and giving knowing side-eyes come only second to loving his family. Keep an eye out for Eli coming down the aisle- he may be under the impression that this "party" is his time to shine!
Eleanor
Flower Girl
Daughter of Kyle and Emily (Matron of Honor) and princess of our family, Eleanor (Ellie) loves dance, to sing, her stuffed animals, dress up, and pink. Curious as a cat and twice as observant, Ellie loves to learn and figure things out for herself. Ask her if her dress twirls! I bet it twirls amazingly!
Pastor Ross Scheer
Officiant
Ross serves as Lead Pastor at Reslife in Big Rapids with is wife, Alison. He’s equal parts thoughtful and funny, and when he’s not at church, you’ll likely find him working out, playing guitar, hunting, and telling stories that may get slightly better with time.
