The three words that come to mind that describe my future husband are devotion, consistency and artistic. I love that Rashad is devoted to his personal friendships and holds his relationships in high regard. One of the first things I was attracted to was our ability to laugh together, joke and remain consistent with communication.He is my best friend. I can talk to him about anything and crack a joke about everything. I admire his work ethic, discipline and drive for life and adventure. The most important factor that I could not ignore was his consistent effort with building a positive relationship with my son. He continues to lead by example and is intentional in that relationship. My future husband is so talented. I love his creative curiosity and artistic abilities. We aligned in our love for R&B music (please believe all of our favorites will be played throughout the wedding) and quoting our favorite movies. Three words that describe my future wife are passionate, honest, and solid. Andrea devotes herself to things she is passionate about. She’s very intentional and meticulous of what or where she pours her time, energy, and love into. I can truly say that I’ve never experienced a love so deep. Andrea is honest. You never have to wonder what’s on her mind, because she’ll definitely tell you. She’s not afraid to tell you the truth, even if you don’t like it - it’s all out of love. She’s outspoken and opinionated and I respect her for always having a voice. She always good for talking trash and having fun. (She still picks on my team Jordans and work shirt that I wore to her birthday brunch.) Andrea is solid. She’s solid as a friend, as a woman, as a mother, and as my future wife. I know that I can depend on her. She’s always first to jump in with no hesitation or complaints. I’m in awe at the display of strength, resilience, consistency, and pure brute effort she continues to show day in and out. - rain or shine, through the good times and not so good, I know shes standing on business about me/us. I love that! This made me want to be a better man and to provide her the space to lean on me when needed. I’m her protector and her biggest supporter. She’s a rider and a great friend to those who know and love her, and I find that so remarkable. Writing this was difficult because there are so many other extraordinary words that describe Andrea, this is just a few. However, this is precisely why I love her so much.

Rashad and Andrea met June 30, 2022 in Charlotte, NC at a Karaoke bar called Sticks and Beans. Andrea, better known as Chi-Town to the locals, was the life of the party every Thursday night. Rashad spotted Andrea’s smile and gap from across the room and decided to introduce himself and spark up a conversation. While Andrea’s body language suggested Rashad had it, he was taken back when she gave him her business card. Nonetheless, Rashad felt like he left a great impression and took note of Andrea’s comment that she came to Sticks and Beans every Thursday night. Rashad was consistent returning 3 consecutive weeks. During those 3 weeks, Andrea was back in Chicago visiting family. Just as Rashad started to give up hope that he wouldn’t see her again, she was back in Charlotte. Following an additional encounter and light conversation, Andrea was intrigued. The two spent the entire night talking, laughing, watching other couples dance, hitting the karaoke 🎤 microphone and enjoying each other’s company. The rest is history.
