Mike and Andrea's love story begins the summer of 2010 when the Montealegre sisters move from their home country of Nicaragua to Virginia USA to attend Oakcrest High School. This is where Andrea's sister Lucia becomes best friends with Catherine, Michaels sister. During this time, Michael attends Oakcrest's brother school, leading him to be at the same proms, same high school graduations, same school functions, and same social circles as Andrea. Yet... they never meet. Twelve years after her arrival to the USA, on January 20th, Andrea starts a 54 day daily rosary novena, begging Our Lady to help her meet her husband… That same day, Michael Reilly leaves the Marine Corp, packs his bags and his dog Odin, and starts the long drive home from California to Virginia... 54 days later, Michael reunites with college friend Kevin Pilarski at a local bar, where Kevin tells Michael about a girl he has in mind for him, showing him Andrea's facebook and kickstarting Michael's pursuit of the love of his life. On the feast day of Our Lady of Fatima, Michael got on one knee and asked Andrea for her hand in marriage. He told her the story about how in the summer after Andrea arrived in the US, he visited Our Lady of Lourdes and asked her for a wife!
