Travel Note

Getting to the Wedding

We STRONGLY recommend downloading Uber or Lyft to your phone in advance of arriving in Seattle and using that to get to/from the wedding. Our wedding venue is located in Georgetown, which is about a 15 minute drive from the main city center. We recommend taking Uber or Lyft from your hotel/AirBnB; if you are staying in the hotel block at the SpringHill Suites and do not have Uber or Lyft then please ask the front desk to call you a Yellow Cab. If you prefer to call yourself the number is 206-622-6500.

House Or Rental

AirBnb

AirBnB has a lot of great places to stay in the Seattle-area. We recommend looking in Capitol Hill, Belltown, Pioneer Square or Downtown if you want to be in the middle of everything. If you're looking to be a little bit further removed from the city-proper we recommend Queen Anne (where we live!), Ballard, Wallingford or Fremont. We also suggest booking early as summer is Seattle's busiest season and things tend to book up quickly.

Travel Note

Getting Around the City

We STRONGLY recommend downloading Uber or Lyft to your phone in advance of arriving in Seattle. The easiest way to get around the city is via ridesharet, but there are public transit options available. The Light Rail (subway system) will bring you from the airport all the way up to Capitol Hill and there are a number of busses that run as well. We recommend walking around Capitol Hill/Belltown/Downtown/Seattle Center as they are all within a 30-minute walk from each other.

Train

Light Rail

The Light Rail is essentially a subway system that runs through a portion of Seattle. You are able to take this to/from the airport and it runs to downtown and Capital Hill, two popular areas.

Rental Car

Rental cars

Rental cars are available at SeaTac airport, though you will not need one to get around the city. Parking can be limited, especially in Downtown and Capitol Hill, so we recommend using Uber/Lyft instead. However, if you prefer a car there are multiple options at SeaTac.

Flight

SeaTac Airport

After arriving at SeaTac you should either take the Light Rail or grab an Uber or Lyft to your destination. There are also rental cars available if you prefer to drive yourself.
