The classic Seattle destination. You'll find the guys throwing the fish, some cute bars and restaurants right on the water and lots of local produce and flowers. Some of our favorite spots include Beecher's Cheese, Ellenos Greek Yogurt, Emmett Watson's Oyster Bar, White Horse Trading Co., and The Athenian, but the best way to experience the market is to just wander around.
Some of the most beautiful views in the city and a great happy hour! Located right in the middle of Pike Place Market.
This is a classic Seattle food that you should absolutely wait in line for if you're in the market. There's always a line but it goes fast and our favorite is the salmon but pretty much everything they have is delicious. This is just a little to-go hole in the wall so we suggest grabbing this and then walking through the market or along the waterfront.
Inexplicably the most delicious yogurt you will ever have. Another great "grab and walk around the market" option.
A really unique park that looks out over Lake Union and the Seattle skyline (you may remember this from the movie 10 Things I Hate About You.) Great for picnics and people-watching. This is also where we got engaged!
This is a great place to grab a drink and sit in their patio chairs near Lake Union. Close to Gasworks Park so a great option for a post-pinic drink or snack.
A beautiful park right on the sound with spectacular views of the mountains. This is more of a beach than a park, really, but the water will be really cold so it's mostly good for sunbathing and day-drinking.
This is a gorgeous spot to catch the most amazing views in Seattle while drinking some daytime rose'. Located next to Golden Gardens.
The space needle is an iconic Seattle landmark and that is why it's on this list. You can buy a ticket to go to the top, grab a drink in their bar or just wander around Seattle Center where you'll find the Pacific Science Center, MoPOP (Museum of Pop Culture) and the PBS station where Andrea works.
This is Andrea's favorite after-work destination. They have a great outdoor patio and good-enough drinks and would be a great place to chill out after seeing the Space Needle.
Fun spot in Fremont for pinball, vintage games and cheap drinks.
Tiny dive bar that's usually playing metal and has two themed rooms inside. Fairly cheap drinks and lots of long-haired/bearded patrons. Perfect spot if you're at Add-A-Ball and want to continue day-drinking Rainiers.
Great metal bar that also has lobster rolls (attention Maid of Honor Jeff McLamb!)
Maybe the coolest bar in Seattle, this place reminds us of what mod bars in Boston wished they could be in the 2000s.
The most delicious (non-alcoholic) drink that Seattle has to offer. They also have cocktails and some of the best fried chicken sandwiches in the city.
All vegan and all vinyl restaurant in Capitol Hill; get the chicken fried artichokes along with pretty much anything else they have.
This is one of our favorite restaurants/bars with great Nashville hot chicken and 70's vibes.
