Seattle's Airports

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) is the nearest major airport, from which it is equally convenient to ferry across or "drive around" Puget Sound to reach the Olympic Penninsula. Everett/Paine Field (PAE) is another option for out-of-towners, with the Edmonds and Mukilteo ferry terminals nearby. The travel time from either airport to Lake Crescent is approximately 3 hours (with minimal traffic), so bear that in mind when booking your flight!

Crossing Puget Sound

From Seattle, you will need to cross Puget Sound to the Olympic Peninsula; either catch a ferry or "drive around" (via Tacoma Narrows Bridge). Both routes take about 3 hours, though the ferry is more direct and offers a memorable experience. Recommended ferry routes are downtown Seattle-to-Bainbridge Island or Edmonds-to-Kingston, though other routes may make sense for you, depending on your other travel plans. Visit the link below for schedules and fares. The Tacoma Narrows Bridge is located along (SR-16) and charges a toll eastbound-only (back to Seattle).
