The wedding day is Saturday, March 30, 2024. You can arrive Thursday or Friday, whichever works best for your schedule and your budget (our room block includes Thursday night). We recommend arriving on Thursday so you can enjoy the beach and acclimate to the weather (and so we can spend more time with you!). Feel free to leave at any time on Sunday!
March in Tulum is hot and the water should be warm. It's in the Caribbean, so there may be thunderstorms and wind. Based on trends from weatherspark.com, it will be between 64 F and 88 F, with an average temperature of 75 F. On average it rains 14% of days in March. There are a substantial number of pharmacies and stores all over Tulum, with the essentials readily available. With that being said, here's what we think you shouldn't go without when you're packing: * sundresses * shorts * anything linen * sunglasses * hats * sunscreen and suntan oil * bathing suits and coverups * cool sandals * a good book * a refillable water bottle * chargers for your electronics (the ports in Mexico are the same as in the US) * mosquito repellent
In Tulum, we think it's easier to get around on foot, on bikes, or on 4-wheelers, rather than with a car. You can walk all the way up or down the main beach road in about an hour. You can also rent bikes (or 4-wheelers) from a number of locations to more easily get around. The hotels should have some free bikes for public use.
