Things To Do

Aix-en-Provence

Aix-en-Provence

Aix-en-Provence, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France

Aix is a quaint but bustling city in Provence. The inner part of the city is closed off to cars so everything is walkable. The streets are lined with cafes and bakeries, perfect for people watching. On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, Aix hosts their big farmers markets. A true culinary dream. Local artisans sell a wide range of produce, cheeses, meats, olives, spices, clothing, and soap! Tip: Grab a packet of Herbs de Provence and lavender soap

Luberon Villages

Luberon Villages

France

Rent a car and drive to the historic villages/communes that make up Luberon. Gordes is the most famous hilltop village. We also recommend visiting Lacoste, Roussillon, and Lourmarin.

Luberon Lavender Fields

Luberon Lavender Fields

France

Nick proposed to Stephanie in the Lavender fields outside of Roussillon. June is when lavender is almost in full bloom and has not yet been picked. There are a few fields in the area but the most famous field is in front of Senanque Abbey, just outside of Gordes. We recommend going early in the morning to beat the crowds.

Cassis

Cassis

Cassis, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur 13260, France

Cassis is a 45 minute train ride south from Aix en Provence. Hike the Calanques National Park to find the swim coves or join a guided tour. There is a public beach next to the Marina. We highly recommend setting up a picnic with your finds from Marché de Cassis (Farmers market). The Cassis market is open on Wednesdays and Fridays promptly at 8AM. Tip: Order a Kir Royale at a local bar (Creme de Cassis and Champagne)

French Riviera

French Riviera

Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France

The Cote d'Azur is just a 2-3 hour train ride depending on where your going. If you plan on staying in this area for a couple of days, we recommend getting a hotel or Air BnB in Nice (centrally located) and then do day trips from there. Our favorite towns to visit by train from Nice: Villefranche-sur-Mer - The only sand beach in the French Riviera, 15 min away Cannes - Luxury shopping and beach clubs, 30 min away Antibes - Small beach town, 20 min away Grasse - Famous for it's perfumeries that produce luxury fragrances, 40 min away Monaco - 30 min Tip: Book a classic car tour through Air BnB experience or trip advisor to visit other towns not mentioned (Eze, BeauLeau-sur-Mer, Saint Jean Cap Ferrat)

For all the days along the way
