Please check back as more details about the wedding weekend will continued to be shared in the coming weeks.
That's sort of been the theme of this whirlwind romance (we know you are all thinking it) from the jump. A half-baked plan schemed up by their friends Justin and Andrea one random Thursday evening led to Ryan texting a girl an impractical 1,700 miles away in Los Angeles. Spoiler alert: that girl was Andie. She begrudgingly texted him back only because he used impeccable grammar and had a pretty decent looking LinkedIn photo. You know, the normal things one looks for in a potential partner. Soon after, while in Nashville, and at the very strong urging of her dad and brother who clearly just wanted a good travel story, Andie met up with Ryan for a drink at Union Station. The chemistry was undeniable to them both and, as cliché as this sounds...they've kinda just been together ever since. (Except for the three hours Andie had to step away to go to the Rainforest Cafe, but that is a story for another time.) That weekend ended up being a full-immersion bootcamp for Ryan, having to meet more than 25 of Andie's close friends and family who happened to be in town celebrating her birthday. Luckily, he stuck around through all the hard-nosed interrogations and the months that followed were spent figuring out that a worrywart extrovert and a impossibly stoic introvert can indeed be a solid match. A few soul-baring trips together, more successful blending of friends and families and a lot of support system building later...they both realized that they simply wanted the same things out of life. It's just a bonus that enough airline miles were earned during this time that Andie finally achieved Delta Diamond Status, a lifelong goal of hers alongside that little "get married" milestone. This all culminated with a magical proposal at Grassini Family Vineyards in Santa Barbara. A feat that Andie still can't believe Ryan pulled off without her knowing, thanks to a few very good secret keepers on both sides. So the moral of this story? Please, please, please take your friends seriously when they ask you to set them up. And listen to your family members when they encourage (bully) you to go meet up with a stranger, even if it's just for the story. Because the story could just very well end up being an incredible love story.
