No- we will provide non-alcoholic beverages and coffee, but the event is BYOB- please be respectful and responsible! Thank you!
We will have a photographer for most of the event- she and her second shooter are awesome and we want to make sure that they are able to do their work unobstructed. That being said, the ceremony and first dance will be no-phone/camera events for our guests. If you would like, during the dance portion of the evening, to get pictures with Nick and I on your phone, we are so happy to do so! Absolutely take pictures of yourself and other consenting parties having a blast- we hope you will share them with us after!
We ask that anyone who smokes does so outside and away from shared spaces. Please dispose of any smoking materials responsibly- we don't want to be cleaning up smoking materials from the grounds. Smoking inside any building on the campground is not allowed, thank you for your respect and cooperation!
The event hall has both a men's and women's bathroom attached and accessible from inside and outside. We also have the bathhouse, up on the hill within the residential area of the campground- there are men's and women's restrooms up there too! The tiny houses and deluxe cabins also have bathrooms. If you plan on camping in an RV or camper, we have sites with just water and electric, and sites with water, electric and sewer, so just let us know what your needs are if you plan to stay on the campground. This is common sense, but please only use the public restrooms if not staying on the campground!
We are inviting whole families and friends- we know that several of our friend have partners, so yes we have planned for individuals to have plus ones! Please make sure that you RSVP with a plus one!
Our theme is wildflowers- so think garden party! It will be an outdoor ceremony (weather permitting) with indoor and tented reception. We kindly as that individuals don't wear hats, sneakers or steel toed boots. If wearing a dress and/or heels, please dress comfortably and wear heels that you can walk in grass with. Since it is mid-May, weather may be cool, so please keep that in mind, especially toward the evening! We ask that kiddos wear comfortable clothing, formal wear not required!
We do not- since we already live together, we already have essentially everything we need! If you would like to buy a gift, of course we will accept it, but we will have a QR code for people to donate to our honeymoon fund. We appreciate your love and generosity, we don't have expectations on what people spend. Thank you!
The wedding ceremony is slated to begin at 2:00 pm on the 16th- please keep this in mind if you are driving to the event. People can start sitting 30 minutes prior to the wedding and we will have music playing pre-wedding party entrances. The ceremony itself will not be more than 30-45 minutes, cocktail hour will be an hour, hour and a half, we'll have our first dance and head into dinner which will be around 2 hours to give everyone time to get food, eat and get seconds if they so desire. After that will be the cake cutting and cupcakes and coffee, this will be variable and relaxed, dancing will start a half hour, 45 minutes after that. Since we will have an early morning (the wedding party) we will ask that folks return to their accommodations by midnight. We're looking at 5-ish hours for the brunt of the wedding, then dancing can go on for quite a while after that!
Sure! Nick and I will be boogie-ing down for sure, but we know that people love to visit with one another and might want to do something else besides dance. Nick and I will provide several of our (personal) favorite board and card games for people to play- grab anyone who doesn't seem to be dancing to play with you! You're also welcome to explore the grounds (don't get lost, so stay on well-cleared paths). We will also have a photo booth and will provide props- have fun!
You can reserve one of several options at the Campground (free of charge!) or you may book a room at a local hotel. we have a page with a couple of very close hotels! We suggest reaching out ASAP regarding accommodations. Please reach out to Nick and I if you want to know more about campground reservations and accommodations!
We have a page on the website here that lists several wonderful things to do locally- ask any of us who live locally! We encourage people to get to know one another at the wedding and our local friends and family might have suggestions we haven't listed! There is something for everyone!
The weekend we are getting married is "family and friends" weekend for the Campground- it's a time where we invite friends and family to come enjoy the campground before the summer season starts. If you would like to stay longer than the weekend, just let us know- there is some flexibility. Otherwise, we just ask that you let us know when you are leaving so that we know when your site can be cleaned! The campground will officially be open to those with reservations the weekend following the wedding. If you have any additional or more specific questions, just let us know!
We are happy to set up kids games on the lawn at the event hall, there is also a wonderful playground, with a separate area for littles to enjoy. We encourage our youngest guests to engage with those options, with supervision!
