Take a dip in the largest natural lake in Slovenia! Lake Bohinj is located in a glacially formed lake basin and is perfect for swimming and kayaking. After these activities you can embark on a a one-hour roundtrip hike to the spectacular Savica Waterfall, and then take the Vogel Cable Car into the mountains for a stunning view of the lake. Lake Bohinj is located in Triglav National Park, but can also be visited on a day trip if you are staying in Ljubljana.
Just minutes from Villa Fabiani lies the most beautiful village in the Karst region, Štanjel. Explore the Štanjel castle and narrow medieval streets, and indulge in local cuisine and wine tastings. Here you will also visit the the mesmerizing Ferrari Garden which was designed by one of the greatest innovators in 20th-century urban planning and architecture, Marks Fabiani, who was also the owner and architect of our wedding venue, Villa Fabiani.
